Demos recorded between 2008 - 2010 at The Casa in Joshua Tree, CA.
The Fight was Mississippi Man's first written song, recorded only two months after the band's conception in December of 2008. The song became an anthem at their live shows and is what first brought the band attention from LA Producer Raymond Richards, who two months later recorded their debut EP, "The Snake Oil Salesman", released April of 2009 to local acclaim.
After a successful first year of positive reviews, touring around the West Coast, and playing sizable shows in their home towns of Los Angeles and Orange County, the band began working on new material. Mountain, Drifter, and The Beard were among the first in the new batch of songs written. In early 2010, the band set out to their home in the desert to begin sessions demoing these new tracks. Happy with the new sound, three demos in tow, and seven other hopefuls written, the band entered the studio with friend/producer Lucas Drake in May of 2010 to track what would become their debut full length album, "A-OK". Sessions for the album were quick and inspired, with the band experimenting with strings, synths, and a more DIY approach. The result was a ten-song album the band felt was a strong and worthy debut LP. Sadly, after inner-band issues and a lack of enthusiasm from frontmen Luke Messimer and David Knight, the band broke up later that year resulting in an unreleased "A-OK".
There have been discussions among the band in regards to officially releasing "A-OK", but no agreement has been met. As of now, these demos are the only released recordings from those sessions.
